They say "to give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift...

At a young age, I knew I had a very special gift to deposit into the world. In 2014, this gift shifted into a dream, that turned into a reality.

God gave me the vision to write a children's book to help parents and educators start conversing about tough topics affecting the African American community. If you know me, you know that I adore my 5 year old nephew Triston! As he gets older, conversations with him become very real... My hope is that Brown Boy will start the necessary conversations in the home.

When I am not working on Brown Boy and other initiatives, you may find me at USC Upstate where I am an Assistant Director in Housing and a 2nd year professor teaching University 101.

I would love to connect with you! Have ideas or comments?
